6th Grade Chorus
6th Grade Chorus meets on Fridays during 9th Period! 6th graders in chorus will begin by developing a solid foundation of basic vocal and breathing technique, beginning sight singing/ear training, and developing solid vocal independence. We study beginning rounds, cannons, 2-part, and basic 3-part repertoire of all genres and styles! 


7th Grade Chorus 
7th Grade Chorus meets on Wednesdays during 9th Period! Students in 7th Grade Chorus will continue building on the foundations of vocal and breathing technique. Intermediate sight singing/ ear training and more advanced repertoire of all genres are studied in 7th grade chorus. Students will continue developing skills as young singers with a focus on singing in 3 parts, blending, harmony and developing solid vocal technique. 

8th Grade Chorus
8th Grade Chorus meets on Mondays and Thursdays during 9th Period! Students in 8th Grade Chorus will work on more advanced vocal, breathing, and ear training technique as well as critical skills of musical expression and artistry through vocal repertoire. Students will continue developing and strengthening choral skills of blending, harmony, vocal independence and the execution of musical nuances through the study and performance of 3 part repertoire from all genres and styles! 
 
Select Choir 
Select Choir is an auditioned vocal ensemble that is open to 7th and 8th grade students who have successfully completed one full year of Chorus. After a successful audition, students in Select Choir have the opportunity to study more advanced, challenging repertoire of various genres and styles, participate in special events and trips around the school and community and learn more advanced vocal technique, breathing technique, choral and musicianship skills, and sight singing/ ear training. Students in select choir are chosen based on their dedication, performance, audition, and level of musicianship.
