The middle school years are a time of transition. At the health office the student's physical, emotional, and social needs are sensitively nurtured and supported. Annual screenings for vision, hearing, height, weight, and blood pressure are performed. In addition, seventh graders are screened for scoliosis. Current health records are maintained. Medications and medical treatments are administered in compliance with New Jersey State Health Regulations.
Communication between parents and the school nurse regarding a student's recent immunizations, illness and injury is strongly encouraged. This communication enables and enhances the level of care provided by the school nurse. Tradition of Honest Excellence
