Dear Briarcliff 8th Grade Parents,

  • May 2019:  At the end of the 8th grade school year a special photograph is taken of each child by our Home & School Association and will be displayed in the front foyer on the night of graduation.  After the ceremony, parents should take their child’s photograph. These pictures will be taken at various times during the month of May. Reminder announcements will be made during the day for students as these times draw near.
  • May 7th – 9th: NJ Student Learning Assessment (Language Arts & Math) testing (all grades).
  • Friday, May 10th, 7:00 p.m.:  Briarcliff/Boonton Twp. 8th Grade Mixer at MLHS.

Subject: School Visitor Update

Hello Briarcliff Families!

Today marks the first day that Briarcliff Middle School has a functioning security vestibule. When you visit our school now, you will notice that we have a vestibule secured in the front of the building. After arriving to our front door, you will need to be “buzzed” in from outside so you can enter the vestibule. This is the same process we always use to enter the building, only now you will enter into a vestibule. Once you enter the vestibule:

1) you can drop off anything your child would need on our table/cart and you can exit from the vestibule back to the outside. We will ensure that your child will get what was dropped off.

2) If you are visiting for a meeting, you would then need to be “buzzed” in from the vestibule into the building and report directly to the main office.

3) If you are visiting to pick-up your child, you would need to be "buzzed" in from the vestibule into the building and report directly to the main office.

The procedure to enter from the vestibule to the school is the same as entering from the outside, you will press a button that is exactly as the one outside and that rings to the main office. School safety & security are extremely important and this vestibule is an added layer of security for our building. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
